Join the North East Canoe Club for their regular summer play date at Rocky Point Rapid. Come along for some paddling skills practice, some play and rolling in the rapid and a fantastic social get together on the river bank after. Bring something to share for a very casual picnic dinner after. If you need boats, please let us know.
If you are a beginner and would like to start out on the river, come along to one of these sessions and we’ll get you on some smooth water to get comfortable in your boat.
We meet between 5.45 and 6pm and paddle until dusk.
If you’re driving from the Alpine Road, turn down the Snow Road towards Milawa and just before the main Ovens River Bridge, turn left down the dirt track and follow the track to a parking area by the river.

This will be a weekend of paddling at the Penrith Whitewater Stadium and we intend to participate in an intermediate white-water paddling course on the weekend. We will be travelling up Friday and spending Saturday and Sunday at the venue. Please let us know well in advance if you are planning on coming.

Tour starts on the Goulburn River at the Wattlevale Rd bridge, campsite at Sandy Creek junction and finishes the following day at Nagambie. Wineries include Mitchelton and Tahbilk.
